Gifts in Memory and Bequests

Thank you to all those who have contributed donations in memory or in honour of loved ones and colleagues, and also those who have left a bequest to MHC via a will, insurance policy or securities.

Gifts in Memory (Memorial Gifts)

You can remember a loved one by making a donation in their memory to MHC on a special day or time of the year.  Remember that Memorial Gifts can be equally as special for you, the donor, as for the family members of person you are choosing to remember.  You can even notify your friends and family about the generous gift made in your loved one’s memory by sending an e-card with a personal message.

Gifts in Honour (Tribute Gifts)

Celebrate the important family members, friend, colleague, mentor, parents or child in your life by making a Tribute Gift in their name to MHC. It is an endearing and meaningful way to recognize others, and/or to them you are proud of their achievements or care to create a lasting legacy in their honour.

Bequests (Estate Gifts)

A charitable bequest is simply a distribution from your estate to a charitable organization through your last will and testament. There are different kinds of bequests, all of which can be explained to you by your financial planner, accountant, banker or lawyer to ensure that your will uses specific language to successfully carry out your final charitable wishes.
